- I want to give a shout-out to those that helped with the Work Day Sunday. It was a small group but much was accomplished. Thank You to those that came out and those that provided food for the workers. The extra help was a huge blessing. We were able to finish the siding on the Office modular. We made a ton of progress on the painting and we got a good bit a weeding done. The truth is there is more to do. Could I ask you to volunteer a few hours a week to help?
- We are hoping to get more social contact going. We are working through getting some person to person Bible studies started. We have been talking about a ladies study as well as a guy’s study. Please let Pastor Joe know if you are interested.
- We are making great progress on the property and especially the new Worship building. It sounds like we have worked out the last big item. We are now waiting for the updated plans so that we can move forward. This is an exciting time.
- It sounds like as churches start to meet that those of us who rent are still in a holding pattern. Our situation is also complicated because of the vandalism to Marcus Whitman. The update I received this week indicated they still have more than a month of work to be done. Give Pastor Joe a call if you have any good ideas.
- We regret that we will be cancelling Soccer Camp this summer. It is in the best interest of all involved that we postpone this ministry until next year. There were unknowns with field availability, adequate number of coaches, dealing with Phase III size limitations as well as potential risks of inadvertently spreading the virus. The best decision for the testimony of Jesus (the Gospel) and our church is to shift our focus to next year. We want to thank everyone for your prayers! Please put July 19-23, 2021 on your calendars for next year’s camp.
- I have really enjoyed our Wednesday Evening Bible Study 7pm on ZOOM (Zoom Link) I have been very happy with the way that it is going. Yes, it would be better if we met in person, but the video chat format is working very well. If you are interested in digging a little deeper into the Sunday message, I encourage you to join us.
- Our June our memory verse is from Luke 14:11. “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”” Luke 14:11 ESV If you struggle with memorizing or even consistency, let me encourage you to check out the Bible Memory App. (IOS and Android) www.BibleMemory.com
- This week we will transition into our Celebrate Summer Series. This year we will be working through the Old Testament book of 1 Kings with a focus on the life and reign of King Solomon. We do covet your prayers as we pull together our new series. Thank you for praying.
