Rearview Mirror 8-4-2016

  • Well it is official. Caryl and I have entered the “EmptyNester” phase of life. This past week we dropped our youngest off at Corban University. We are excited for her as the Lord has opened the door for her to pursue her dream of playing soccer at the college level. We will not be empty nesters for long as our daughter Anna returns next week from Bolivia and will return to college and our son and daughter-in-law will be staying with us as they transition back to the Pacific Northwest. We are hoping to welcome them back next week too.
  • It is nice to have a quiet lull prior to our September ministry launches. Let me encourage you to take advantage of the incredible weather and spend some time with those you love.
  • Thanks for the continued prayers for Anna serving in Bolivia. There has been limited contact with her but we are sure she is having a great time. I know that she does covet your prayer for the team as they minister using their engineering skills. You can follow the team blog here.
  • Just a reminder that we will be holding a Baptismal service Sunday August 21 during the AM service. If you are interested in Baptism or have questions please contact Pastor Joe.
  • This week we will have another Dramatic Monologue as we continue our study of 1 Samuel.  We get a peak at one of the very special friendships in the Bible. It is also a reminder of the importance of having close relationships with fellow believers. Thanks for your prayers that empower the message each week in our series “Discovering Greatness.”
