Most pastors get asked the question, “What kind of church do you pastor?” I have wrestled with the temptation to give a more generic response like “We are an independent Bible church?”  I do not think that that is the answer for their question. They want to know what your church believes. We can provide more information by sharing what christian tribe we affiliate. Sharing our denomination or affiliation goes along way to helping them to understand what we believe as a congregation. We will be unpacking  eight characteristics over the next two weeks that characterize our Church, a Baptist Church.
