- It was a great blessing to have Pastor Tom Ruhlman as a guest speaker this Sunday. I really enjoyed sitting under his ministry from 2 Corinthians 11 on Authentic Ministry. I was reminded of how God works in our lives in real time when reflecting on our meeting way back in 1985 that would lead to an internship at Tabernacle Baptist.
- Our 20th year Celebration is just around the corner on Sunday September 12. We will be celebrating the Lord’s faithfulness to our church and community. Be sure to put it on your calendar as we launch the 2021-2022 year of ministry as well!
- Plan to stick around for the 20th Anniversary Potluck Cookout after the 2nd AM Service. The church will be providing hamburgers and hotdogs and dessert and tableware. We are asking each family to bring a main dish and a picnic salad. Don’t forget to bring your own lawn chairs as we will be eating outside weather permitting.
- Our fall ministries are launching the week of September 19th. Prayer Meeting will start back up on Wednesday September 22 7pm in Admin Building. The AM and PM Men’s Bible Studies will restart on Thursday September 23, 10am and 7PM.
- The Ladies Ministry Kick-off is Saturday September 25. Ladies, let me encourage you to put this event on your calendar as we wrap us Summer and move into Fall.
- Fall couples Bible study will be launching the week of September 19th. We have locked down a host and leader. If you are interested please contact Pastor Joe.
- Our new memory verse for September in recognition of our 20th Anniversary is from Lamentations 3:22-23. “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22–23 ESV I strongly encourage you to develop a system for memorizing Scripture. It could be using 3×5 cards or even an app. Let me encourage you to check out the Bible Memory App. (IOS and Android)
- I am looking forward to winding down our Authentic Ministry series as we focus on 2 Corinthians 12. It also is a passage that reminds us that He works through our weakness. I thank each of you that are praying for me and our ministries. You are making a difference!
