- It has been a busy week for me. It is good to get the “Endangered Relationships” mailer out. I want to say thanks to those that came by on Monday at 1:30 til about 3:30 to prepare over 28,000 mailers. This is a good time to mention the mailer to your family, friends and neighbors since they would have received them in the mail starting Wednesday. Now it is time to pray!
- Our AWANA team had a great meeting Sunday. It is a huge blessing to have Pastor Berney helping lead our AWANA program. I also want to say Thank You to the others that have stepped up to help out. I am excited for this year’s ministry.
- A reminder of parents of K-6th grade students our AWANA program begins Sunday October 2nd, 5:30PM at the Ministry Center. There will be an AWANA registration table set up this week for those families desiring to register their clubbers.
- Our Six-8 Youth had a great time with their back to school overnighter. It was a great night of game competitions, movies, food and fun. The word I heard was the students had a blast! They even got to celebrate the birthday of one of the students. Thanks to Zac and Carol for all their work also Berney and Tammy P for all the good food.
- Just a reminder that starting tomorrow, Friday, Six-8 will be starting at a new time. The new time will be from 6:30pm-8:30pm Friday at Schamek’s.
- Ladies you will want to plan to attend the Women’s Ministry Launch Dinner, Friday September 23, 6pm at the Ministry Center. We are excited to have Sue Lunsford, wife of our new regional director, as the guest speaker. The cost is $25 per person.
- This is a great time to get plugged into a small group. It is a great way to connect with others and build relationships. There are a number of different studies being planned. Be sure to respond to the insert this week.
- And while we are on Six-8, next Saturday September 24th is the Six-8 Disc Golf event at Shelton Springs. Parents and adults are invited. The youth will be leave the Schramek’s at 8AM sharp. Talk to Zac for more information.
- I am excited for the special service that we have planned for this Sunday. We will be launching our Endangered Relationships series. I will be bringing a challenge to emphasize our commitment to the relationships in our lives. We will also be celebrating with Heath and Sarah as they renew their vows Sunday. A meal will be following the service and everyone is invited. Please be praying for this service that the Lord would allow us to touch hearts.
