  • One of the greatest blessing of Living Hope is our church family. A healthy family is a wonderful blessing as we draw together to help each other out. I want to give a shout out to the Stancliff’s on the new additions to their family. I want to encourage you to pray but also to do something tangible like help out with a meal or two. If you can help, please contact Joelle or Caryl.
  • It is hard to believe that summer is just about over. I am not willing to move on yet. But it is that time. It is that time of the year culturally to begin to a new year. It is also the time for our congregation to gear up for the new ministry year. Let me encourage you about getting plugged in. We can always use help with our student ministries (and especially our growing nursery.) Yet, there are also needs for setup on Sundays and help in the church office.
  • Caryl and I wanted to say Thank You to everyone that helped in different ways and those that joined us for the celebration of Anna’s and Andrews’s marriage. Thank You.
  • Team Leaders, just a reminder that we will be meeting Tuesday evening, for our first team meeting of the new year. We will be holding the meeting at Pastor Joe’s house at 7pm.
  • Ladies, just a reminder that there will be no Ladies Discipleship group in September. The ladies ministry focus will be on the fall ministry launch.
  • You may have noticed that the work on the property has slowed down. We are currently working through a couple items so that we can move forward with the installation of the sewer and water. We are also still waiting on the specifics for the electrical but are making progress. We will be needing help with cleaning up the Sedgwick Road weeds. We also need to replace some exterior siding. We could use some help with those comfortable with helping install some plumbing. If you are available to help, please give Pastor Joe a call.
  • This Sunday we will be moving on to the next verse in Psalm 100. Our September focus will be verse 1, “Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” Psalm 100:2 ESV  A powerful reminder about the need to serve and worship with the right attitude. If you are struggling in this area, let me encourage you to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
  • This Sunday we will be continuing our series in 1 Corinthians with a focus on Chapter 14. It is a chapter that speaks to the practical application of spiritual gift in strengthening our church family. The title for this week in our “Be Wise” series is “About My Ministry Agenda” as we focus on having the right attitude to make an impact for Jesus.  I do appreciate your prayers for me as I wrestle with God’s Word this week! Thanks for praying.
