- I want to thank everyone that was able to participate in the Annual Meeting Sunday afternoon. We took care of several items of church business and had a chance to talk about the property moving forward. I want to congratulate Skip Ragsdale as our new Trustee. Caryl Parkinson and Kendra Darnell were voted into a second term as deaconesses for Hospitality and KidsZone, respectively.
- It was great to get together as guys this weekend with the Men’s Flapjacks and Fellowship Saturday. I want to give a shout out to Pastor Zac for feeding us.
- It sounds like the gals had a great baby shower for Sheila this past weekend. I wanted to give a shout out to all the ladies that were part of making this happen.
- Let me encourage you to be in prayer for this year’s CLEAT Soccer Camp. We are anticipating a shortage of coaches. Please let Pastor Berney know if you know of anyone that might be interested in helping out in this years camp July 22-26 at Marcus Whitman Jr. High.
- The Soccer Camp mailers have been printed and we are waiting for them to be prepared for mailing. I decided to have the counting done for us this year due to our current office situation. I am hoping to have the mailer at the Post Office by next Wednesday at the latest. I would encourage you to talk up the camp with your contacts. I will have some extra mailers available this Sunday.
- I would like to memorize the Lord’s Prayer over the next three months. This means that our May Monthly Memory Verse will be two verses in Matthew 6:9-10. I realize that these are fairly well known verses. The value for you and me in working on these verses is that it reminds us daily of God’s character and the necessity of prayer. ““Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:9–10 ESV) If you are struggling in this area, let me encourage you to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
- In our new series “Be Wise” this week will be focusing on the remainder of 1 Corinthians 1. Our study will focus on one of the greatest dangers of ignoring God’s truth in our lives, broken relationships. This will kick off our several week mini-series as we focus on “Be Wise About My Calling.” Thanks for praying for me as I prepare for our time in the Word on Sunday.
