- I want to give a shout out to everyone that helped make this Easter another highlight of our year. I want to thank those that worked with our students on the special programs. I want to thank those the Ladies Ministry team and everyone that provided food for the brunch. I also want to give a shout out to Steve F for doing the photo booth. I also want to thank all the folks that came early and stayed afterwards for setup and tear down. It was a great service.
- It is exciting to see all that is happening in our congregation. Let me encourage you to pray for the new little ones in our midst and those mom’s that are expecting. Congratulations to the Doolittles! I believe that we are expecting 6 more little ones in the weeks ahead.
- The Ladies Discipleship group will be Saturday May 4th, 10am-Noon at Fergusons.
- AWANA will be celebrating the end of another year. The AWANA Awards Night will be Sunday May 5th, 5:30 pm at Givens Community Center, 1026 Sidney Ave.
- A new Mom’s Group is starting with a Play Day on May 9th 10 AM Thursday morning. This is a great opportunity to connect with other moms!
- A Ladies Game night is planned for Friday May 10th 5 pm at the Sutherland’s.
- We will be celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday May 12th during the AM service. We will also be doing a Child Dedication during the service for those interested. Please contact Pastor Joe.
- Guys the next Men’s Flapjacks and Fellowship is scheduled for Saturday, May 18th at 8am at the Church Office.
- Our ladies will be hosting a baby shower for Sheila on Saturday, May 18. Please check the church bulletin for the specifics. I know that the Ladies Ministry team is planning a shower a month for those that are expecting. Exciting times.
- Our April Monthly Memory Verse is John 11:25-26. This verse reminds of the securing of our relationship in Jesus! “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. - We are moving forward on the property. We are in the process of finalizing the Excavating Contractor and taking care of details to start excavating. Please continue to pray. It is possible that the site work could start in May!
- God has been blessing the ministry of His word in our midst. Let me encourage you to pray for Pastor Berney as he brings a two week mini-series to our congregation.
