Rearview Mirror 3-15-2018

  • It is a wonderful thing to watch your children succeed. Caryl and I had the privilege of attending our daughter’s AREO Design competition in Florida this past weekend. It was a great time to share in her hard work and dedication. Thanks to everyone that covered the bases this past Sunday so that we could get away.
  • There is another game day event coming up next Saturday March 24 from 10am – 3pm at the Ministry Center. It is a great time to connect with others and to have fun. This is a family event for all ages. I hope to see you there.
  • Just a reminder to pray for those around you that do not know Jesus. I am also challenging you to invite them to the Easter Brunch and Easter Service. We also have a Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for following the service.
  • Please sign up for the Easter Brunch. The signup will be passed around again this Sunday.
  • There is also a need for candy donations for the Easter Egg Hunt. Please remember that all candy must be wrapped and small enough to fit in the plastic eggs. We will also accept financial donations for those interested in contributing for the candy. Just place your designated gift in the offering.
  • We also decorate the service with lilies that are loaned/donated by the congregation. Please check the Sunday bulletin for information if you are interested in helping with this.
  • Ladies there is still time to get plugged into the new Ladies Bible Study “Is Genesis History?” meeting on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 PM at the Ragsdales. Please contact Robin for more information.
  • Guys, there are two men’s group for you. Pastor Berney is leading the one that meets on Tuesday evenings at the Ministry Center at 7pm and Pastor Joe is leading a Thursday Morning 10:30 AM group that meets at the Ministry Center. We would love to invite you to join us.
  • I have created a “group” on the ScritureTyper app for encouraging each of us to memorize the monthly verses. If you are interested in joining me and others in putting God’s work in our hearts, using your smart phone or tablet, click here to join the group. Our March MMV (Monthly Memory Verse) is “Better is a handful of quietness than two hands full of toil and a striving after wind.” Ecclesiastes 4:6 ESV  Let me encourage those of you with smart phones or tablets to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
  • This week in our “Fulfilled!” series, we will be moving into the second half of Ecclesiastes 7. The focus is on the importance for the follower of Jesus to be on their toes when it comes to life’s temptations. It is humbling to see how God is working in our midst is so many different ways. Yet it makes for  a busy week, so I covet your prayers for me as I study and prepare for Sunday.
