Rearview Mirror 3-12-2020

  • Most of you have probably heard that South Kitsap School District has suspended facility use for all outside groups. This suspension is in effect until April 3rd at which point the situation will be reevaluated. We will be moving our service to a digital live stream with Facebook live on our Living Hope Facebook Group. Pastor Berney and I will be doing a VBLOG on our passage from Galatians 4. We will also be monitoring questions posted during the session. We are also discussing using the same format for weekly Bible studies.
  • The shocking news today was that two of our attenders have tested positive for the Corona virus. They were in services on February 16 and participated in the Potluck and also were in the March 1 service. We are encouraging those with any symptoms to consult with their doctor. This information and additional information is being shared on our private REALM site. Access to this site is by invitation only. Please contact Pastor Joe for an invitation or if you need help getting online.
  • If you would be available to help others during a possible quarantine with picking up prescriptions or making grocery runs, please let me know.
  • The Ladies Discipleship group scheduled for this Saturday has been cancelled.
  • AWANA will continue to meet as long as it is wise. Please reach out to Pastor Berney with any questions.
  • It has been another busy week at the church property too. We have taken another step towards getting power. We recently discovered a few leaks in the Office roof. We have contracted to have it replaced. It looks like it is happening next week. We have also had 30 yards of bark delivered to mulch the fence lines. (Any help spreading would be appreciated.) Also pray for our SDAP permit process as we are currently working on bonding the unfinished fencing and landscaping. We need this bond to complete the permit. Also we will be having the parking lines painted on the gravel for the permit and also parking blocks installed (we could use a few strong backs to help put them in place.)
  • Our March memory verse, ““But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4–5 ESV  If you struggle with memorizing or even consistency, let me encourage you to check out the Bible Memory App. (IOS and Android) www.BibleMemory.com
  • Our passage for this Sunday reminds us of the personal part of Christian ministry and the importance of having relationships with those who can speak the truth into our lives in a loving way. The title for this week is “Blessing of a Godly Mentor!” Pastor Berney and I will be hosting a Facebook Live session this Sunday 10AM (Click This Link). Thanks again for your prayers. Pray that the Lord speaks first into my life and then through me.
