- I want to give a shout out to the Ladies on the Hospitality teams and the Sunday Set-up/Teardown team for their work on the Church Pot Luck on Sunday. I never stop being amazed at how a meal helps us connect with others. There was great food and great fellowship this Sunday. Thanks to everyone that participated.
- I heard good things about the Baby Shower for Lyndzee. A big Thank You to Amy for hosting and Jess for bringing the devotion and for all those that helped to coordinate. These events are special times to celebrate some of the many blessing of the Lord in our church.
- Ladies, just a reminder, for those of you involved in the monthly Ladies Discipleship group, that the date has been changed to Saturday March 16. It was previously scheduled for this Saturday March 2nd which now is the last stage of moving out of the M.C..
- Guys, just a reminder that we will be back on schedule for our Men’s Flapjack & Fellowship scheduled on March 9th. We are still working out the location, so stay posted. It will happen one way or another.
- There continues to be a steady stream of activity related to the sale of the M.C. and the development of the property. This past week and this week our focus is on moving out of the Ministry Center.
- Our new church office will be Suite 201 at Towne Square Mall. We will gain access to the office on March 1st and will be completing the move out of the Ministry Center on Saturday March 2nd. We are asking for guys that can help to be available at 9AM at the M.C.. We should be done before noon, and the church will be providing lunch.
- Related to the Ministry Center move is that the Conex box is being moved to the church property on Thursday February 28th at 8 AM. I want to give a shout out to Steve and Gordon on their work prepping the church site for the new addition as well as getting the modular ready to move.
- We are in the process of rolling over to a new church software program. It is called the Realm. It will be replacing “The City.” The new version of the City is an invaluable resource to connecting our congregation together. It also facilitates communicating on many different levels. It you were part of “The City” you should have received an email to login to the Realm. If you would like to be part of the Realm, please contact Pastor Joe with your email.
- This Sunday we will be working on the last verse of Psalm 23. Our March MMV reminds us of our true source of hope and the future that we have to look forward to. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:6 ESV) If you are struggling in this area, let me encourage you to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
- The last couple weeks we focused on the human part in Salvation. This Sunday we will be focusing on regeneration. We will be exploring how our God changes us. On a separate note, I want to say Thank You to everyone that is praying. We are seeing God working in many different ways in our congregation during this very busy time with all the building stuff happening. I covet your prayers that God would work first in me then through me as I minister to our congregation.
