  • Let me encourage you to remember those who are struggling in prayer. Prayer changes things. Prayer has often been described as the greatest tool in the Christian’s life.  I know that those who are struggling in our congregation would appreciate your prayers. Let me encourage you to drop them a note that you are praying.
  • The great news is we have cleared another hurtle in getting power to the site. Last Friday, I learned that PSE had received the state permit to cross Sedgwick Rd. This is huge. It is looking like we could have power in the next month of so. I want to give a shout out to all the guys and gal that have helped on the site this week. We were able to complete the long wall of siding, install another major portion of landscaping, make progress on the office plumbing and do some painting and site clean-up. We have several smaller jobs that we could use your help on. Please contact Pastor Joe if you, or your family, would like to give a hand.
  • I want to give a shout out to the Hospitality team and everyone that was part of the Potluck Sunday. There is something very special about sitting down for a meal together as a church family. The food was also outstanding. I am hoping that we will be able to do more events like this once we get onsite.
  • Gals, just a reminder that the Camp Gilead Ladies Retreat (March 13-14) is just around the corner. Please pick-up information on the welcome table or check out this week’s bulletin for more information.
  • Six 8 youth will be hosting the Ocean5 Duck pin Bowling and Laser Tag event on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Please contact Pastor Zac for more details.
  • Our 3rd Quarterly Meeting is scheduled for Sunday February 23rd 2:45 PM at Heritage Church in the mall. I want to give a shout out to Pastor Fred for making the facilities available to us on short notice.
  • Our February memory verse is, “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16 ESV  A simple but profound verse that reminds us that we have the resources available to say “No” to temptation. If you struggle with memorizing or even consistency, let me encourage you to check out the Bible Memory App. (IOS and Android) www.BibleMemory.com
  • This week we will be diving into our new mini-series from Galatians chapters 3 and 4  “Getting the Gospel Correct!” We will be continuing our progress in chapter 3:6-14 in the first of three contrasts of faith and law. The sermon title is “Faith Plus Nothing!” I thank you for praying for me as I wrestle through this text. May the Lord use our time in His Word to fortify our understanding of salvation!
