- It has been one of those different weeks for me. I started feeling sick on Sunday and spent what seems like all week in bed fighting a cold. Fortunately, I don’t get sick very often, but unfortunately when I do, I get hit pretty hard. It is good to be back on the mend and getting caught up on stuff. Thanks for praying for me.
- I want to say Thank You to Gordon G and Steve F for their help on prepping the house for demolition this week. We were able to bust up the concrete floor in the basement which is the last thing that needs to be done. We will be demolishing the house on Saturday starting at 9am if there are any adults interested in helping (No children please).
- I want to say thanks to Robin R for all her work on hosting the baby shower for Brittany this past Saturday. It sound like those present had a great time encouraging Brittany.
- Our property team had a great meeting this past Saturday with our Architect. We were able to identify the major components of a site plan for the new property and also work on the floor plan for the first phase. We will be opening up the discussion to those interested once we get some finished drawings.
- We are in the middle of our Operation Christmas Child drive. If you have not picked up your shoeboxes yet they will be available in the lobby on Sunday. Just remember that we will be collecting your boxes each Sunday until November 22nd.
- Ladies let me encourage you to be part of the new ladies bible study that meets at the Ministry Center on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. This past Wednesday was the second night. There is still time for you to get plugged in.
- Guys our Men’s group is meeting Thursday morning at 10:30AM at the Ministry Center. We are using the sermon questions in the back of the sermon inserts.
- Each year our Six-8 youth sell Christmas Wreaths to offset the cost of the Christmas Teen Leadership Retreat. We began last week taking orders for those purchasing the $15 wreaths. Your purchase of a wreath is one way to support what God is doing in the hearts and lives of our young people.
- Just a reminder that our first Quarterly Congregational Meeting will be Sunday November 22nd 4pm at the Ministry Center.
- Our general fund giving could use a financial boost. I want to say Thank You to those who are faithful in giving. If you are able to do extra it could be a huge blessing.
- This week our “God Question” will be “Do All Roads Lead to Heaven?” You will want to be sure to bring your thinking caps as we talk about world view and different religions as we answer this question. I really need your prayers this week as I work on this weekend on a short schedule.
