Rearview Mirror 10-8-2020

  • Let me just let everyone know there will not be a live service yet. We will be livestreaming on Sunday at 10am like the past weeks. We have a couple hurdles that we have to jump before we can have regular services on site. We are working diligently to make live services an option. Please pray!
  • I want to Thank everyone involved in the Ground Breaking Ceremony at our church property. We had a great day with close to 100 people present. I want to give a shout out to all those that helped get the site ready, especially Steve, Ken and Daniel for their work on the deck & ramp. A big Thank You to Pastor Zac and Carol for putting together the meal. I want to give a shout out to my wife Caryl that did a bunch of work cleaning the building, in case we needed it. A huge Thank You to Pastor Berney for his help with the organization. I also want to give a shout out to Joe for his work on putting together all the Sound and Video stuff. I want to say Thank You for your part in making the past Sunday a special day!
  • We are continuing to press forward on the property in three areas. One we need to keep making progress on the landscaping on the site. (Any help with weeding would be greatly appreciated.) We are pushing forward on completing the Office modular. The deck is coming together and we have some small items that need to be done. If you are available to help, please reach out to Pastor Joe.  The Worship building has been permitted by L&I so they have started to close it up. I loaded some pictures on the Realm this past week for those interested. (Please contact Pastor Joe if you need help accessing Realm). We are still waiting on a delivery date that will get things moving forward.
  • Ladies, just a reminder that the next Ladies Discipleship group is this Saturday at Nina’s (Saturday October 10 10AM). Please reach out to Caryl Parkinson for more information.
  • Pastor Joe’s 7 PM Wednesday Night Study is on Zoom.
  • The Men’s group is meeting on Wednesday evenings as well for those guys involved in the study.
  • Six8, just be aware that there have been some changes to the weekly calendar. Please check out Facebook for the most current information.
  • Our verse for our October Monthly Memory Verse is “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”” Luke 19:10 ESV  This verse reminds us the importance of our mission as follower of Jesus. We are called to touch lives. If you struggle with memorizing or even consistency, let me encourage you to check out the Bible Memory App. (IOS and Android) www.BibleMemory.com
  • This week we will be returning to our series in 1 Kings, “Lessons for the Journey.” The books of Kings are discouraging because there are so many ungodly kings, yet the hope is that God is faithful. This week we will look at a picture of the next section. We do covet your prayers as we prepare for Sunday.
