Rearview Mirror 10-20-2016

  • It is exciting to see the Lord working in our midst. I hope you will continue to praise the Lord with me over what the Lord is doing in and through our church! Thanks for being a part of it.
  • I want to say Thanks to Pastor Berney for all his work on the Ministry Fair last Sunday. I want to say thanks to those that stepped forward to help with ministry. If you are still interested please feel free to talk with one of the pastors to help you get connected.
  • I just want say thanks to my son, Joe, for helping with what some might consider a “little thing.” He fixed the Ministry Center Parking lot light this week. If you get a chance, tell him thanks. Thanks Joe!
  • I was part of a follow-up meeting on our Conditional Use Permit today. I am excited that we are moving forward. We were able to work through several possible issues. I think we have a working solution. Please continue to pray.
  • We are planning a 101 Discovering Church Membership CLASS for those interested in learning more about Living Hope. The class will be Saturday October 29th 9am-3pm, lunch will be provided. Please contact Pastor Joe with any questions.
  • Pastor Joe and Caryl are inviting you to an open house reception for newlyweds Joe and Jess. You are invited to join us this Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm Sunday October 23rd. at the Ministry Center. Guests are asked to bring a food pantry item to help them stock their pantry.
  • This is a great time to get plugged into a small group. It is a great way to connect with others and build relationships. There are a number of different studies being planned. Be sure to respond to the insert this week.
  • Guys, we will be taking a group of Men to the one day Iron Sharpens Iron event in Auburn on Saturday November 5th. Our goal is to have at least five men participate in this conference. I hope you can join us.
  • Please be praying for three Christmas outreaches that we are working on and will be announced over the next two months. The first outreach is to our own teens. It is our Christmas Wreath Sales to help towards the cost of the Six-8 Teen Leadership Conference Winter Retreat. The second is the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box ministry. We are working on a third to help a local ministry.
  • I also wanted to say “Thank You” to everyone that has been faithful in giving. Our finances have been very thin and this is primarily due to the costs involved in developing the property and doing ministry. I do covet your prayers. Any additional gifts to the Building and/or General Funds would be greatly appreciated.
  • This week I we will be focusing on our relationship with those around us, like our neighbors. We will be looking at how “Good Bridges make Great Neighbors” in our next message in our Endangered Relationship series. It is humbling to see the Lord working in so many hearts. I do covet your prayers as I prepare for Sunday. Pray that the Lord would first cause His Word to work in me, then through me!
