Rearview Mirror 2-11-2021

  • I just wanted to remind those in the area as the temperatures drop and the snows falls to reach out to the Pastor if you have a need. I know that we and others are available to help in times of need. Give Pastor Joe a call if needed.
  • It has been another great and busy week for me. I am excited about what the Lord is doing at Living Hope. It is amazing to see the incredible passion for the Lord in so many different areas of ministry. I am really excited about what the Lord is going to do in the days ahead. Let me encourage you to get plugged into a group. A start might be our Wednesday evening prayer times at the church office at 7PM.
  • We saw two more big steps forward on the property. First, the cabling for internet has been installed. Yes Yes Yes! It still needs to be hooked up but we are making progress. The second is I got a text Wednesday evening that the concrete for one side of the building would be poured at 8am the next day (Thursday). Some other progress has been getting the alarm system installed and making progress on the network stuff for internet, streaming, sound and projection.
  • A huge answer to prayer is that I was able to confirm that we will not need to install a monitored fire alarm system.
  • Just a reminder to keep praying for the completion of the concrete flatwork (sidewalks), completion of the cable internet installation and for a church sign design.
  • I want to say thank you to everyone that has been helping with the building and grounds. Several ladies have started the process of cleaning the new building. I want to give a shout out to Steve F for all his work on the facilities. He was a huge help in installing the alarm system. There are also others. Thank You.
  • Let continue to pray for a February start for public service. Just remember that this will be something that we are rolling into once we start. We will be starting with a simple single service to figure things out before we actually go public. Of course those who are interested in attending are welcome.
  • We have two Men’s groups that are meeting. Pastor Berney leads a Thursday Evening group at 7:00 pm at the church studying the Minor Prophets. Pastor Joe is leading the Thursday Men’s daytime group at 10AM, also at the office. The Thursday daytime group is doing Sermon based discussions for those interested.
  • One of the highlights of my week has been the Wednesday even prayer meeting at 7 pm at the church. Let me encourage you to join us for prayer for the relaunch of our ministry.
  • Six-8 Youth Jr high meets on Sunday 5-7pm at the Church Office. The Sr High is now also meeting on Friday 6:30-8:30pm at the Church Office. The Tuesday night Youth Hangout 6:30-8:30pm out for both groups will continue to be at the Schramek’s. Please contact Pastor Zac for more information.
  • Our Memory Verse for February 2021 will again remind us of one of the purposes of the new building; to bring the message of Jesus to others. “And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11 ESV  If you struggle with memorizing or even consistency, let me encourage you to check out the Bible Memory App. (IOS and Android) www.BibleMemory.com
  • This week I want to focus on the importance of prayer from the birth of the church in our Move Forward series. The Lord impressed on my heart at prayer meeting our need to talk through the importance of prayer in Acts 2. Thanks again for everyone that is praying. You are doing battle for the Lord. Thank you.
