Rearview Mirror 9-17-2020

  • 2020 has turned out to be a crazy year. It seems like the world is falling apart around us. It is a good time to remember that the Lord is seated on the throne. While I am convinced that this is not the tribulation period, it could be the lead up to it, often referred to as the Last Days.
  • I want to give a shout out to Pastor Mark Suko who retired after 30 years serving as the Pastor of the church God called him to start. I count him a fellow Pastor, friend and mentor.
  • We are planning a special event, we have made some changes, the details can be found on The Realm under the Living Hope Church group.
  • I will be sharing some pictures of the Worship building this Sunday from our visit to the factory this week. I am excited for all of us to be able to gather in it soon. Please continue to pray for the L&I permits. I would covet your prayers for the project also.
  • We are needing to do some clean-up work on the site. There will be a church work day at the property Saturday September 26, 9Am – Noon. We will be focusing on cleaning up the weeds. We also have some painting and inside cleaning that needs to be done. Please come prepared with weed eaters, tools, etc.
  • Ladies, just a reminder that the Bridal Shower for Sarah Parkinson is this Saturday, September 19, 10-Noon at the Parkinson’s. A light brunch will be served. Please RSVP to Caryl if you have not already done so.
  • Pastor Joe’s 7 PM Wednesday Night Study will be meeting this coming Wednesday on Zoom.
  • The Men’s group is meeting on Wednesday evenings as well for those guys involved in the study.
  • Just a reminder that Six8 is now meeting each week at Schramek’s. There is a general “Hangout” on Tuesdays for all Jr & Sr High. The Sr. high group is meeting on Friday evenings. The Jr High group meets on Sunday evenings. Please contact Pastor Zac for specifics. A carpool is being provided from the church property for the Sunday Jr. High group.
  • Our September Monthly Memory Verse is “Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the Lord all the day.” Proverbs 23:17 ESV.  This verse is important because it remind us not to become distracted by those not following the Lord. If you struggle with memorizing or even consistency, let me encourage you to check out the Bible Memory App. (IOS and Android) www.BibleMemory.com
  • This week we will be moving on from the life of Solomon into the division of the nation of Israel in 1 Kings 12  Thank you for your prayers as we dive into the text. Pray that the Lord will first work in our lives and then in those listening. Thank You.
