Rearview Mirror 7-16-2020

  • Let me encourage you to be an encourager of others. There is not much hope with the unfolding virus spread. Those without Christ have no real hope, but that is not true for those of us who belong to the Creator. We know that God is in control!
  • Congrats to Pastor Zac and Carol on their new home. It has been amazing to see the Lord working in their situation.
  • I want to give a shout out to Ken and Judy E for their help in watering the church landscaping and also the Burkes who will be helping once they get back. We are, however, in need of some help battling the weeds. If you can help please reach out to Pastor Joe.
  • It is hard to image that I will be giving away my last daughter, Sarah, in a few months. If you have not heard, she is engaged to be married on Friday, October 23rd. There will be a bridal shower on Saturday, September 19 at 10 am for our church family.
  • It has been another exciting week for our site. The builder has submitted for permits on the Worship building. We have also submitted for a building permit with the County! We are waiting on a start date for construction. We have also submitted some change request for the Office Modular ramp. Please pray for our continued progress on these.
  • We are in the planning stages for a Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new worship building. This may be our first public service on the property. If you have any experience or would like to help, please contact Pastor Joe.
  • I have really enjoyed our Wednesday Evening Bible Study at 7pm on ZOOM (Zoom Link) I have been very happy with the way that it is going. Yes, it would be better if we met in person, but the video chat format is working very well. If you are interested in digging a little deeper into the Sunday message, I encourage you to join us.
  • Guys, the weekly Men’s Bible study has started back up. They will be meeting on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Please contact Pastor Berney for details.
  • Our July memory verse is from Matthew 9:37-38 “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”” Matthew 9:37–38 ESV If you struggle with memorizing or even consistency, let me encourage you to check out the Bible Memory App. (IOS and Android) www.BibleMemory.com
  • I hope you have been as blessed as I have through our our Celebrate Summer Series “Lessons for the Journey.” We will continue our Journey through 1 Kings this next week as we begin to work through Solomon’s preparation for the temple. Thank you so much for praying for the preparation of the sermon each week. Please also pray that the Lord would use the digital media to touch hearts and lives!
