Rearview Mirror 11-14-2019

  •      I want to give a “Shout Out” to those that have helped with the Property this past Saturday and Monday. We were actually able to get a lot done. We were able to do a significant amount of clearing on the West property line for the fence. We were also able to get a large section of the fencing done. We were also able to fertilize and water the landscaping. A big thank you to those that helped.
  •     Most of the work on the church site this past week has been “paper work” as we get closer to completing the Site Development Permit. There was a water check valve that needed to be tested, an easement for the sewer, a maintenance bond and a bunch of other stuff.  It looks like the driveway will be paved at the end of next week! Also please continue to pray for the forward progress to get electricity installed. This is the last major utility to be installed (internet will be installed once we have electricity).
  •      This Saturday, November 16, will be our second “Official” Church Work Day from 9am-noon at the property. We have something to do for everyone. We need to continue to work on the cleanup on the west property line. This involves raking and picking up any garbage. If you can help with this please bring a rake and if you have one, a wheel barrow. We have the section of old fencing that needs to be removed so that we can replace it. It looks like we will have one tree to cut down. Please bring a chain saw to help with this. The big focus will be on installing the last section of fence on the west property line. If you can help with this be sure to bring a cordless drill (I have the drill bits and square head bits for the screws.) And finally we still have some Leyland Cypress that need to be planted. Any help would be appreciated. Please let Pastor Joe know if you could make it.
  •      Our first Quarterly Business Meeting is scheduled for Sunday November 17th after the AM service. We are asking members to hang around for a shorter meeting.
  •      This Sunday is the drop off day for Operation Christmas Child gifts. So if you still need to get that box filled, now is the time.

  •      Gals, there is a Ladies Bible Study on Tuesdays at 6:30pm at the Ragsdale’s for those interested. The Guys study is Wednesdays at 7 pm. You will need to contact Pastor Berney since they rotate locations.

  • Our Romans Road verse for this week is Romans 10:9-10 ““because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9–10 ESV) If you are struggling in this area, let me encourage you to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
  • I will be preaching this Sunday on “How I Share the Gospel.” The Lord has laid on my heart the importance of starting a conversation about Jesus and then finishing it. It is exciting to see what the Lord is doing in our congregation. Please keep praying!
