Rearview Mirror 6-20-19

  • I know that Father’s Day was last Sunday. I just wanted to give a shout out to all the great fathers at Living Hope. It is exciting to see the Lord working and the difference your investment is making in your marriage and your children. Keep pressing forward.
  • I want to say Thank You to the Women’s ministry, especially Sharlene, for putting together the father’s day gifts. I also want to thank the kids for delivering them.
  • Six 8 has a double header event this weekend. The first event on Friday and Saturday (June 21-22) is the Mystery Dinner Overnighter. You will want to bring a friend and let Pastor Zac know so that he can plan for the meal. The cost is $10.  It will be a great time.  The second is the kick off of the Summer DU (Destination Unknown) after church this Sunday, June 23, 1pm-4pm. The DU will be leaving from the church property.
  • Ladies, there is another baby shower on the calendar for this month for Sally S. You will not want to miss this special time to get together and be an encouragement. It is coming up Saturday June 29 at 11 am at the Ferguson’s house.
  • Just a reminder to pass the word that CLEAT Soccer Camp early bird registration ends this coming Monday June 24th. Registrations need to be post marked. The cost will increase from $55 to $60.
  • I feel like we are in the hurry up and wait phase with the church property. The new activity this week was a “Clearing Inspection.” This involves the County Inspector approving the boundaries for clearing the site. Now that this has been done the work will be starting no later than next week. I am still working on a couple loose ends. I would appreciate your prayers for the Electric and the Modular Building Permit.
  • It can be hard to forgive another person. It does become easier when we are reminded that our forgiveness is because we are forgiven. “Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” Matthew 6:11–12 ESV  If you are struggling in this area, let me encourage you to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
  • This Sunday we jump back into our “Be Wise” series in 1 Corinthians 4. The challenge this week will be to “Be Wise About My Attitude.” Our passage will challenge us to bring a Biblical attitude to life’s situations that we face. Thank you for praying. The Lord is using your prayers to work in hearts and lives. Please continue to ask the Lord to work in my life so that He can work through me.
