- I was reminded this past weekend of how blessed we are as a people. It was great to have our family in town. We were able to spend some great time together. I hope that you were able to take time this past week to Thank the Lord for all that He has done.
- Now begins that mad rush to Christmas. It is something that touches each of our lives. Let me encourage you to look for opportunities to be gracious to others. This could be holding the door open and saying Merry Christmas or something else. It is the time of year that loving deeds shine brighter.
- Ladies, just a reminder that Annual Ladies Christmas party is Friday December 7th, 7:00 PM at the Ministry Center. Don’t forget to bring your under $5 gift wrapped ornament. Food and Drinks will be provided. I hope you are planning on attending and being a part of the activities. As far as we know at this point. This will be one of the last big events at the Ministry Center.
- Our Men’s Christmas Flapjack and Fellowship is Saturday December 15th 8am-10am at the Ministry Center. Breakfast is provided. We will continue our in-depth look at understanding the Bible. We are asking the guys to bring a wrapped usable/desirable tool for a White Elephant exchange. It can be a used tool from your toolbox or a new tool ($10 limit).
- We will be taking Christmas to our neighborhoods on Sunday December 16th as we go Caroling from 3:00 PM until ? Dinner will be provided, thanks to Pastor Zac, for a small donation $3 per person or $10 per family. This is a great family event. Please be sure to get us names of people that we can bring the cheer of Christmas to using the songs that focus on Jesus.
- Just a reminder to pick up your Christmas Wreaths. As you know the proceeds go to help offset the cost for our Sr High students to attend the Teen Leadership Conference over Christmas break. Please contact Pastor Zac if you are interested. They cost $15 each and will be available this Sunday. They also make great gifts as well.
- Team Leaders, just a reminder that we will be meeting this Tuesday at 7pm at the Ministry Center.
- The Property Team will be meeting this Sunday evening at the Ministry Center at 7:00 PM.
- Also just a heads up that the closing date for the Ministry Center sale has been moved again. This is to give the lender a little more time and actually benefits the church, as it give us another month of use of the Ministry Center as we are waiting for our Site Development Permit and working on other important pieces of the puzzle. - I know that some of you are struggling with memorizing Bible verses. I have chosen to have us memorize the popular and meaningful passage of Psalm 23. It speaks to all of us. This month our verse is Psalm 23:3. It is an easy verse that you need to commit to memory. “He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.” Psalm 23:2 ESV Let me encourage you to memorize all 6 verses of Psalm 23. - This week we will be kicking off our Christmas series as we take time to reflect on what we are really celebrating at this time of the year. I do appreciate your prayers as I pull together the last minute details for our new series this week.
