Rearview Mirror 4-19-2018

  • I want to give a shout out to Pastor Berney, Steve F and the families that have been sharing a portion of their story about “Living the Hope” on video each week. It is so humbling to hear how the Lord has been working through the ministry of Living Hope over the years. Thank You.
  • It was been encouraging to me to see the excitement for our SDAP Offering as we trust the Lord as we move into the next stage of developing the property. Just a reminder that our Sunday May 20th Offering will be designated for the SDAP costs, Any funds beyond what is needed will be applied to the building fund.
  • Property Workday is this Saturday April 21st from 9am – 1pm. The church will be providing lunch of hot dogs, chips and water (Thanks Pastor Zac). Our goal will be to clean up any litter, cut the grass, trim the weeds and other miscellaneous stuff. Please bring any yard tools that you think might be helpful.
  • Along the same line you ladies will want to put the shower for Christine Miller on your calendar that is scheduled for Saturday April 28th 1:00 PM at the Ministry Center.
  • Guys, there are two men’s group for you. Pastor Berney is leading the one that meets on Tuesday evening at the Ministry Center at 7pm and Pastor Joe is leading a Thursday Morning 10:30 AM group that meets at the Ministry Center. We would love to invite you to join us.
  • Let me encourage you to join me in memorizing Scripture. This month our April MMV (Monthly Memory Verse) is “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.” Psalm 37:4–5 ESV  If you are struggling to develop a memorizing habit let me encourage you to check out ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
  • We are coming to the end of our Study in Ecclesiastes. Our sermon this week will be on chapter 11, the next to last chapter. Solomon’s concluding admonition is to walk by faith and enjoy life. He challenges us to make life an adventure by living by faith. It is a message that we need to hear amidst our busy and hectic lives. Time does just seem to slip away and Solomon challenges us once again to make our lives count!  Please continue to pray for the Lord to work first in me and then through me so that our congregation would become strong in Jesus!
