Rearview Mirror 3-8-2018

  • The exciting news, small but exciting, is that I was able to record the “Land Use Binder” that makes our Conditional Use Permit final. The recording of this document basically ties the approval of our CUP to our property. PTL
  • I am excited with how the Lord is working in our midst. One of the negative side effects is that Satan notices and attempts cause havoc! I am asking to your pray for those families and marriages that are walking through difficult times. I would also encourage you to pray for that we would be strong against the devil’s attempts to distract us from following Jesus!
  • It is time to start thinking about Easter. First, let me encourage you to pray about inviting friends and family to the Easter Bruch and Service. We also have a Easter Egg Hunt schedule for following the service.
  • Please sign up for the Easter Bruch. The signup will be passed around again this Sunday.
  • There is also a need for candy donations for the Easter Egg Hunt. Please remember that all candy must be wrapped and small enough to fit in the plastic eggs. We will also accept financial donations for those interested in contributing for the candy. Just place your designated gift in the offering.
  • We also decorate the service with lilies that are loaned/donated by the congregation. Please check the Sunday bulletin for information if you are interested in helping with this.
  • Ladies there is still time to get plugged into the new Ladies Bible Study “Is Genesis History?” meeting on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 PM at the Ragsdales. Please contact Robin for more information.
  • Guys, there are two men’s groups for you. Pastor Berney is leading the one that meets on Tuesday evenings at the Ministry Center at 7pm and Pastor Joe is leading a Thursday Morning 10:30 AM group that meets at the Ministry Center. We would love to invite you to join us.
  • I have created a “group” on the ScritureTyper app for encouraging each of us to memorize the monthly verses. If you are interested in joining me and others in putting God’s work in our hearts, using your smart phone or tablet, click here to join the group. Our March MMV (Monthly Memory Verse) is “Better is a handful of quietness than two hands full of toil and a striving after wind.” Ecclesiastes 4:6 ESV  Let me encourage those of you with smart phones or tablets to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
  • This week in our “Fulfilled!” series, we will be moving into Ecclesiastes 7. Pastor Berney will be bring the message in a sermon titled “How Will I Know How to Make my Life Better?” from Ecceleisastes 7:1-14 in our Fulfilled! Series. Again your prayers are making all the difference in our church and ministry. Thank you for praying.
