Rearview Mirror 6-22-2017

  • It has been a couple weeks since we have released our Newsletter. The first week, I was back celebrating our son-in-law’s graduation from Medical School. The second week was spent on my back recovering from a bug I picked up along the way. It does feel great to be back in the office and into my routine. I do want to say thanks to Pastor Berney for ministering the Word the week I was gone.
  • It is hard to believe that the Early-Bird CLEAT Camp Registration ended Monday. It looks like we have had a great response so far. I am waiting on the actual numbers. Let me encourage you to get the word out as the Mail-In Registration ends Monday July 10th, just a couple weeks away.
  • Don’t forget to sign up for snacks or to get involved in this year’s camp. I am looking for families to provide lunches for the team as well as to host them for dinner. Please let Pastor Joe know if you can help. We also will need as many coaches and assistants as we can get. If you know of any please connect them with Pastor Berney.
  • How are you doing on our June Memory Verse? There is still time to work on it. 1 Peter 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” Also let me encourage those of you with smart phones or tablets to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
  • It is looking like we are going to have a great time for Family Camp this summer at Lake Cushman over the weekend of August 25-27. I still have some sites available. Please let us know so we can reserve a site for you.
  • Thanks to everyone that has been giving a little extra to help us get caught up on finances. I was reminded in my Bible reading yesterday morning that, “And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:4
  • This week we will be spending our time in the end of Romans 2 through Chapter 3. It is a passage that reminds us to be humbly obedient because salvation is God’s work in our lives. I do appreciate your prayers as  I work through a large body of material and putting this week’s message together. Pray that the Lord would speak into my life so that the message would speak into the lives of others.
