- We had a great Sunday last week as we kicked off our Celebrate Summer series. Last year in a decision to give our Sunday School teachers a sabbatical we went to a Family Worship service format with the kids in the service for the months of July and August. We also had visits from different Bible individuals from some of those mentioned in Hebrews 11. The dramatic monologues were a big hit with young and old alike. This year we will be doing the same thing from our study on 1 Samuel. Our Family Worship format will begin in July and run through August. We will also be having visits from individuals to help us experience the accounts of 1 Samuel.
- I want to say Thank You to Brenda and Thom Burke for their work in preparing for the bridal shower for Jess Sadowitz, our son’s fiancee, who will be married on July 2nd. I also want to say thanks to the others that helped with shower and all those who attended. I know it was a huge blessing to Jess. Thank You.
- This is the time to sign up to help with Soccer Camp. Also spread the word to others. We have sent a mailer to everyone in South Kitsap. We also have additional mailers available. The $55 early bird registration fee ends Monday, June 20th. This is a great motivator to get those in your life registered.
- Caryl and I would appreciate your prayers as we are in the final stretch for our daughter Emylee’s wedding this Saturday. It has been a busy week with task to be accomplished and the arrival of family. I also want to say Thank You in advance to all those that are helping to make Emylee’s and Troy’s day special.
- Our Jr and Sr High Ministry , Six8 is hosting a parent meeting on Friday June 17th 7pm. If you have students in this ministry you are encouraged to come to the Ministry Center. Zac will be soliciting input and sharing his plans for the next ministry year.
- Congrats to Sarah on her High School graduation. You are invited to an open house for our daughter Sarah next Saturday June 18th from 2-4pm at the Parkinson house.
- I hope you enjoyed our visit from Samuel this past Sunday as he shared about his mom and how we can “Discover Greatness.” We will be having another visitor this week as we move into the next section of Samuel. Thanks for praying that the Lord would use these dramatic monologues to speak into our lives.
