Rear View Mirror 10-15-2015

  • It is humbling the way that the Lord is using our marriage series “Happily Ever After.” I want to say Thank You to my wonderful wife Caryl for joining me this week to share six practical essential to team parenting. If you are interested, you can find the message here online.
  • We had a great time of fellowship and food at the Lighthouse Resturant this past Friday evening for our Adult Night Out. It was good to have a change to connect as couples. The All You Can Eat Fish and Chip was awesome! Thanks to all those that participated.
  • Just a reminder to be in prayer for our next sermon series. We will be focusing on answering people’s questions about God is a series titled, The God Questions. The mailer is currently being designed. We will be looking at a six areas that people have questions about starting November 1st. We are needing volunteers to help us count mailers on Wednesday 10/21 or Thursday 10/22 (depending on when they are printed.) Please let us know if you can help.
  • There will be a Family Game Night/Halloween Party at the Ministry Center October 30th. Please note that this is a date change from the 23rd. It should be a great time to enjoy some pizza and other goodies plus plan games. Bring your favorite game. Plan now to be a part of this great time together.
  • I am thankful for those that have been faithful in giving. Let me encourage you to be faithful with your iCare commitment. Also any additional financial gift would be helpful with our fall ministry launch.
  • We purchased and installed a temporary power pole on the property this week. Once it is inspected we will be able to get power to the site. It will be helpful in demolishing the house and for other projects.
  • One of the greatest struggles in the marriage relationship seems to be the physical relationship. This week will be looking at “Making Sex an Act of Love.” I will be discrete but also direct in what the Bible has to teach us about this important area of marriage. Parents, please use your discretion with your children. I appreciate your prayers as I seek the Lord’s wisdom and power as I minister on this vital topic.
