The five account in 2 Kings chapters 8-9 remind us of the positive consequences and the negative consequences to "Counting the Cost" of our choices. The books of Kings can be hard to read in places because of the bad things that happen. But we need to be reminded that these accounts are given "as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did." 1 Corinthians 10:6. Our accounts this morning will challenge us to "Be Different" by making Godly choices that keep us walking with the Lord and honor Him.
