- The good news this week relates to our property. We now have a scheduled date to go before the Hearing Examiner for our Conditional Use Permit. I will be sharing more on Sunday, but it is exciting for this phase to come to completion. We are not there yet, so I encourage you to continue to pray.
- Remember to pray for those families in our congregation that are walking through difficult times right now. Prayer requests and update are distributed for our prayer group (and other ministries) on our church social network called “the City.” Please contact Pastor Joe of the church office for an invite to join.
- This next weekend is Family Camp. I locked in the registrations on this past Monday. We could accommodate a few tent campers if you are interested. We are also inviting any non-campers to join us Saturday August 26 for day on the beach. We will conclude with an Evening Service around the campfire (if we are allowed to burn.) I hope that you can join us at Camp Cushman at the North Loop at site 59. There is a day use fee of $10 /car/day.
- Please keep praying for someone that can “Sign” in the service. We would like to offer this. We have been unable to locate someone that could help. Please let Pastor Joe know if you have any ideas.
- Our August MMV is “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1) I hope you are encouraged and strengthened as you commit this verse to memory. Also let me encourage those of you with smart phones or tablets to check out the ScriptureTyper App. (IOS and Android)
- This week as we move into Romans 11, we will be focusing on God’s plan for Israel. There is much confusion on the place of Israel in God’s plan. Romans 11 is pretty clear. I do covet your prayers as I prepare for this week’s message. Pray that the Lord would speak into my life and then through me. The title for Sunday is “Understanding God’s Plan for Israel.”
