- I hope that you had a great President’s Holiday weekend. I want to say thanks to Pastor Berney and my wife Caryl for their help with our Annual Six-8 “Big Chill” Youth Group retreat. We had a great time in the Word, playing in the snow, and enjoying each other’s company playing games. The food was awesome too! Thanks to those of you that were praying for us, the Lord answered a number of needs.
- The Six-8 Youth will be meeting this Friday 7pm at Lopez’s.
- This Saturday is our 201 Discovering Spiritual Maturity CLASS at the Ministry Center. There is still time to be a part of the seminar that provides practical instruction and how too for developing the five most important habits in the Christian’s life. Talk to Pastor Joe if you are interested in attending.
- Our next quarterly business meeting will be this Sunday, February 21st, at 4 PM at the Ministry Center. We will be reviewing the latest developments on the property site plan and building design.
- Ladies, Sharlene H will be hosting a special Ladies Night Out event, a Movie Night, at her home on Friday February 26th. She is asking those attending to submit their tickets so she can plan accordingly. Check out more information in this weeks bulletin.
- I mentioned earlier that there are a number of folks desiring to be Baptized. If you are interested in being baptized at the February 28th service please contact Pastor Joe.
- I hope you have enjoyed and been challenged as much as I have through our series from Romans 12 “Transformed.” This week we will be finishing the series as we look at what the Bible has to teach us about “Learning to Overcome Evil.” The Bible as usual presents some life challenging practices for facing the evil that so often threatens to derail us in our walk with Christ. I do covet your prayers as the enemy does not want these type of messages, that set God’s people free, to be preached. Thanks for doing spiritual battle in the form of praying for me and the message that is preached this Sunday.
